I am in the middle of a studio move around. I wish I had not started – it is such a state of chaos. But I know it will be worth it in the end! So unfortunately I do not have much to show you in the way of new work, in progress work or hints and tips (will get back to those next week) but what I do have to tell you is equally exciting.

Leaving home

I was so overwhelmed to sell out places on my upcoming Art Retreat in the North of Scotland which is happening this October with 10 very excited students (6 coming from America!!) and I get butterflies in my tummy whenever I think about it. Six days in a tiny fishing village with nothing to do but wander the beaches, eat, chat, laugh and create art!! What’s not to love??

So I am very excited to let you know that I have now confirmed dates for April 2015 for another week of the same and if you would like to join me then I would love to have you there. I did not for a minute think that I would have anyone coming from overseas for the October one but if you are thinking about it but are worried about the travel then I will help you as much as I can in terms of finding the best way to get there. (My focus this week is writing a detailed travel information page for the students that are coming in October) but in short if you can get a flight to Edinburgh or Aberdeen then you are well on your way to getting to Gardenstown in Aberdeenshire.

It really is beautiful. You can find information on the accommodation and catering here – the only difference being that arrival for students will be on the Sunday 17th April to give me time to settle in and organise things for students arriving.

I am also very excited as in June I am going up there myself for a week of creating art and I cannot wait. You can see images of Gardenstown here – it really is very beautiful.

As ever if you have any questions then please get in touch with me via the comments or contact page.
